Founded by PeopleSoft veterans Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri, Workday delivers Human Capital Management, Payroll, Financial Management and Worker Spend Management solutions for midsize and Fortune 500 companies.The Web Developer position will be responsible for developing web based applications/tools for the Meteorix internal teams. The web developer will collaborate with the Meteorix Sales, Business Development and Consulting and Management teams to ensure that the design and build of the solutions aligns with the vision and intent of the application.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the various Meteorix teams to gather and translate user requirements into technical design and specifications.
- Architect reusable functional components for use across the Meteorix Internal applications.
- Build and Test the web based application.
- Coordinate assigned deliverables and drive the development of the application.
- Complete the work assigned to you in a timely fashion to meet specific deadlines.
- Provide the leadership team with status reports and keep them apprised of overall project status.
- Work with the consulting team to coordinate testing activates and team feedback.
- Provide documentation, knowledge transfer and training on the new application.
- Gathers, analyzes and defines user requirements for development and enhancements to existing applications.
RequiredSkills:
- 2-4 years of Software Development experience with Java.
- Hands on experience building highly interactive cross browser web applications using Web Services, Web 2.0, Ajax or other “interactive web development” methodologies, Javascript (including libraries and frameworks like YUI), CSS and XML technologies (XSLT, XQuery, XPath, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with application and web server configuration in a development environment
- Demonstrates ability to offer programming solutions at advanced level
- Development experience with MySQL including database design, storied procedures and triggers a must.
- Exposure to applications that do social media ( facebook, twitter, etc) and/or mobile device development (e.g. iOS3/4, Android, RIM, etc).
- Experience with IBM’s iLog Elixir tool a plus.
- WebLogic, WebSphere, WebMethods or other middleware experience a plus.
