We are currently seeking a Web Developer to join our Web Department at GWPI – a small, multi-dimensional team of web content, marketing, design and development professionals. You will provide support for all phases of web development for our GWPI family of websites. This includes planning, implementation, conversion, and maintenance of both current and future web projects. This is a challenging and key position requiring experience with rapidly developing web applications with the ability to deliver high-quality projects on time.

You must be able to work on-site, enjoy learning new technologies and have a passion for innovation. Most importantly, you must take pride in writing efficient, quality code.

Required Skills/Experience:
• 1+ years of professional experience developing websites using Java, J2EE, Tomcat
• Working knowledge of MVC architecture and OOP principals
• Proficient with at least one scripting language (e.g. Ruby/Python/PHP)
• Have experience working with relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of and demonstrated experience with JavaScript (library-free), xHTML/HTML, CSS
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Work effectively on multiple tasks both independently and as a team
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Desirable Skills:
Ruby on Rails, SVN, jQuery, XSLT, utilize JSON and XML from Web Services, Objective-C, Behavior-Driven Development
