Sourcebits seeks a top-notch Design Lead to join our award-winning team as we bring our design efforts to a whole new level of quality.
The Design Lead reports directly to the Creative Director and works with product managers, developers and other designers. The Design Lead is responsible for quality control, providing unique and beautiful design solutions and motivating the team to give their best and constantly raise the bar of their skills. The Design Lead has the comfort of working from his home.
Responsibilities:
— Ability to lead, mentor and discipline designers and developers.
— Ability to provide efficient solutions to user interface design problems in iPhone and Mac environment.
— Maintain the integrity of the brand by contributing to Sourcebits' visual style - from conceptualization to execution.
— Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
— Creation of user interface designs for platforms such as iPhone, Android, web and Mac.
— Creation of visual designs for above-mentioned platforms.
— Provide creative feedback: assist designers and show them innovative solutions; assist and contribute to the development in design and functionality implementation phases.
— Communicate with clients and make sure that the work is done on time and clients are more than satisfied.
— Stay up-to-date on current and best UI design practices, industry standards. Be two steps ahead of current design trends.
Requirements:
— Expertise in iPhone and Mac user interface design.
— Desire to take over the world with the best designs ever.
— Outstanding portfolio of brilliant works. It should display skills in unique approach to user interface design, layout and spacing, conceptualization, implementation of realistic visual effects (lightning and texture).
— Leadership capability, including inspiring, mentoring and disciplining teammates.
— Excellent communication and organization skills.
— Online presence throughout the day and active communication with the team.
— 5+ years of experience in user interface and visual design.
Bonus:
— BA in Graphic Design or any other related discipline would be an advantage, although your experience and portfolio matter a whole lot more.
— Occasional visit in India would definitely help improving the efficiency of interaction with teammates and other teams.
