We are looking for an experienced, creative, and self-motivated individual within the Los Angeles area who is able to assist us in a variety of web-based projects. We are a young firm with passionate individuals, and we work with an exciting mix of national and international corporations in addition to non-profits. Our clients rely on us to deliver innovative and effective solutions within the online and interactive space. This position will be full-time, and located at our office in Woodland Hills.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an all-around PHP “rock star” developer with 4+ years of web development experience. We do a lot of custom work within the WordPress framework, and the candidate should have experience with deep customizations of themes and custom plug-ins. You will be working closely with our team in both front and back-end environments on a variety of projects including complex site breakdowns and builds, custom CMS systems, e-commerce systems, integration with Flash and other front-end systems, and more. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task on multiple projects at the same time.
Requirements for the job include:
• 4+ years in HTML, CSS, PHP, development within LAMP solution stack.
• 1+ year of Wordpress with strong knowledge of WordPress plugins and architecture
• Knowledge of AJAX, jquery, JavaScript, XML, JSON, MySQL
• Solid understanding of best practices, industry standards, and cross-browser compatibility
• Ability to comprehend new concepts, technologies, topics and assess their value
Preferable Qualification
• Experience working with Wordpress MU and Buddypress, and custom themes
• 1+ year of experience with Django/Python
• Experience using version control systems (Subversion, etc) individually or in a team setting
• Knowledge of social media, web applications, and mobile.
Bonus Points
• Any experience with Magento, Drupal, Expression Engine, or Codeigniter
• Experience with development technologies (C#, ASP.NET)
