Look North Inc. is an award-winning website creative and technology studio located in Montclair, NJ. We design and build websites and online communication tools for a wide array of clients including those in the business-to-business, consumer and non-profit sectors. We have a proven, effective and efficient process and use some of the latest tools and techniques available. We are preparing for a couple of exciting upcoming projects and are looking for a talented front-end developer to work closely with our small team.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Build HTML/CSS templates from Photoshop files
- Integrate into ExpressionEngine or other site management application
- Integrate with third-party APIs including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Google Maps
- Assist in new implementing features and content across our clients sites
- Some interface design when necessary
Specific Skills Include:
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong handing HTML and CSS skills including cross-browser compatibility and SEO optimization
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery including writing scripts from scratch
- Experience with CMS systems such as ExpressionEngine or Wordpress
- An eye for design with regard to user interfaces and content delivery
- Ability to effectively communicate both with our internal teams and our clients
- A passion for the web and a desire to be part of a fast-moving, dynamic company that will treat you like one of our own. Sometimes the hours are long, but the final products are projects we're proud of.
