<p>Chatman Design is a small award-winning design studio in Madison, Wisconsin. We work with a variety of clients, locally and nationally, in both print and web. We are seeking a full-time web designer / developer to join our team.</p>
<p>This is an in-house job in Madison, with a possibility of telecommuting once comfortable with the team and clients.</p>

<p><strong>Required skills</strong></p>
<p><strong><br /></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Good with HTML &amp; CSS.&nbsp;</strong> You should have the ability to convert Photoshop designs into websites, using your own good judgment when needed on how things should work.</li>
<li><strong>Good with WordPress &amp; PHP. </strong>You should be able to create new, and work with existing, WordPress templates. We are a WordPress shop. Nearly all of our clients site use it as the CMS, although some use custom PHP.</li>
<li><strong>Some JavaScript (typically jQuery) skills.</strong> Most of the existing sites we maintain use jQuery. You don't need to be a JavaScript hero, but you should be familiar enough to maintain what is there and use it to do typical design tasks.</li>
</ul>

<p><em>Some bonus points:</em>&nbsp; You can occasionally help with print production when needed.</p>

    <title>Company confidential: Dutch Delfts Blue webshop</title>
    <description><![CDATA[<p>Freelance</p><p><strong>(Anywhere)</strong> <p>For a dutch based company a new webshop is to be opened focussed on selling Delfts Blue. We got development skills but currently lack stunning art direction.</p>
<p>Looking for a designer/ art director who can set an authentic atmosphere and still keep it functional to sell around 1000 products in 10 categories. Also, knowing the charactaristics of a webshop is more then welcome.</p>
<p>The budget is not fixed yet, but we expect some time invested so count $2000 as a minimum reward.</p>
<p>The webshop has to be user-friendly, breathe authentic atmosphere, quality but affordable. People that come to spend $50 must feel welcome. Those who come to spend $2000 or more as well.</p>
<p>It wil start out with two languages (dutch and english) but that might grow into 4 or 5.</p>
<p>Are you a creative mind and dedicated webdesigner who understands the web and it (im)possibilites? Can you deliver a design that indeed can be build with just regular fonts and some image replacements? Or convince why we shouldn't?
