We're currently looking for an experienced, talented Flash Developer to help us build a website for a client since we don't have Flash experience in-house. Ideally, we'd like someone who's proficient in both Flash and general front-end design work since we'd like to give a lot of the work to a single individual.

What We'd Like to See:

3-5 years of Flash development experience

Strong web/interactive portfolio showcasing your skills

We'd naturally be thrilled to find someone local to our area (Colorado Springs / Denver), but we will gladly entertain the idea of someone working for us remotely if he/she can participate in phone/web conferences occasionally and meet any deadlines we mutually set. We believe in maintaining a good work/life balance, so we're pretty flexible about how we run our business and how we let our team members work.

Apply: To apply, please send resume, work samples (or link to online portfolio), and hourly rate to 4743@jobs.authenticjobs.com.

Papercut Media: Magento theme development

(Australia)
Papercut are a very small, long-established Austrailian studio, populated and controlled by bona fide human beings. We do most of our development in house, but occasionally our hands get a little bit on the full side, so I'm reaching out for some equally human contractors to help us out.

What I need right now is somebody experienced in Magento who is able to take a well structured Fireworks PNG of a store design and turn it into a proper, well-implemented Magento theme. You'll be able to do this without too many questions or tears, and hopefully rather quickly. You'll also do it with an eye towards web standards and accessibility, and I won't need to tell you why that matters.

That's what I'm looking for today. Broader experience in Magento also useful. And beyond that, if you happen to have solid PHP skills, or Python and Django, and like some unusual challenges, freelance gigs could be ongoing (no promises, but those skills will be an advantage in your application).

You don't have to be based in Australia, but it'll help. Being in Melbourne or Perth will be even better.

Apply: My name is Patrick. I'd like to know something about you. Send an email to 4742@jobs.authenticjobs.com outlining your experience, rates, and why you're the kind of person we might like to work with (hint: read our website, see if you think you fit).

Company confidential: JavaScript Developer

(San Francisco, CA)
We're a small virtual agency looking for an experienced freelance web developer with extensive JavaScript experience for three-month project starting in late February. We're building the pilot application for a new server-side JavaScript platform. You'll be working on both the front end and back end of the application. You should be comfortable with hand-coding valid HTML, generating CSS layouts from comps as well as creating elegant object-oriented backend code. The project will involve extensive YUI and possibly JQuery work on the front end.

This is a project were the ground you stand on will keep shifting under you. You'll need to be comfortable with a semi-manageable chaos and with being faced with an unanticipated crisis every morning. In exchange you'll have a pretty unique application to add to your portfolio and play a part in defining a new development platform. If you can show some significant application you built with YUI, that's good. If you can show some significant applications in both YUI and JQuery that's doubleplusgood.

We'd prefer a candidate local to the Bay Area, although we'll consider applicants from elsewhere. You'll mostly work from home, but there may be occasional onsite work/meetings in downtown San Francisco.

Apply: To apply please send your resume and portfolio links to 4741@jobs.authenticjobs.com.
