About the Role –When you aren’t eating this is what you will do… Sir Kensington’s is seeking a Creative Director to lead the refinement and expansion of our creative DNA. You will lead the evolution of our brand’s visual identity, and the execution of all creative projects.
You will report to our CMO, working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications teams to execute across all mediums (digital, print, experiential). You’ll manage our graphic designer as well as creative agency partners to tackle a wide range of projects, from developing a new website (2018-19), to event branding, product launches, and digital campaigns.
Responsibilities: -Applying systems thinking to solve brand challenges. You understand that with over 50 products and growing, no decision can be made without understanding the implications for the entire system. -Leading the creative team as we work to evolve our brand. As Sir Kensington’s grows, you’ll help us find the best way to communicate our brand ethos and product attributes through visual design and packaging. -Collaborating heavily with marketing and communications. You’ll lead the team for creating packaging, digital assets, social content, recipe content, apparel, and more. -Dreaming big while never losing sight of the details. You’ll work on large-scale, strategic projects that influence multiple consumer touchpoints and require attention to detail and care.
This role is based in New York City.
About You – Necessary ingredients
The ideal candidate will bring your own skill and taste to the projects at hand. You are proactive in developing new and original ideas, love to problem-solve, have a deep understanding of brand, have a strong eye for typography, and are passionate about design and food. You also have: -An intimate understanding of design, content, and web best practices, including software and file set-up for a variety of production methods. -Experience in creative direction with a proven track record in generating new ideas and campaigns -The ability to create across a variety of mediums with a skill set in digital, print, and environmental / out-of-home design. -Experience managing a team and meeting deadlines while handling multiple projects at once and collaborating with others. -No ego when it comes to executing — we have a small team, and everyone has to be both a thinker and a do-er. -Comfort giving feedback, navigating multiple points of view, and being able to make decisions as a creative leader. -An extremely high attention to detail. -5+ years of experience working in the field. -Love for food!
