The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic, growing team. DoIT supports teaching and learning at UW-Madison by providing innovative, user-centered, reliable technology solutions. The division is made up of more than 600 employees working together across multiple departments. Also, this position does not have on call time or generally require weekend or evening work. 

 

This position is within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team which acquires, develops, and maintains identity and access systems, products, and tools for the entire University of Wisconsin (UW) System and, more specifically, UW-Madison. This includes designing, planning, developing, operating, and constantly improving our use and implementation of technology.

 

Your Role:

The work we do is varied and challenging, so you will need the tenacity to take on a variety of projects that benefit students, faculty, and staff at UW-Madison and beyond. As an SRE you will have the opportunity to implement and promote industry best-practices around continuous integration/delivery, deployment and orchestration, monitoring/alerting, and optimizing delivery of services across on-premises and cloud toolkits.
